Lake Hickory Country Club is a private country club in one of the most affluent areas os North Carolina. It serves as a “city” club for its members where interiors are more formal than its sister club Catawba Springs. DDI was commissioned to embark on an ambitious renovation and expansion program.

The perimeter walls of the existing club were moved out 10 feet to the existing roof line, thus increasing the square footage from 25,000 square feet to 41,000 square feet. A complete interior renovation included green Italian marble flooring, the addition of white columns, torn gold leaf wall covering in a new recessed dome and many other additional touches.

The community was so pleased with the “New Lake Hickory” that for the first time in their history the membership was completely sold out and there is now a waiting list.
